Improvise your way to agile and dextrous creativity

Learn how to discover and act on wilder ideas without sacrificing clarity via tailored daytime workshops and masterclasses

Over the past 20 years, I’ve performed, taught, directed, and been a community organizer and entrepreneur in the world of improvisation. I currently teach at Boom Chicago and ImproNation, lead marketing for IMPRO Amsterdam, and co-founded Tag Out Theatre.

What does this experience translate to practically? Let me tell you!

Improvised comedy and theatre is the art of taking a single idea and conjuring characters, environments, stories—entire universes—from practically nothing at all. We do this via extreme listening, radical agreement, and committed support. It’s a balancing act between cooperative imagination and on-your-feet operational design.

Telling improvised stories takes sharp systemic thinking. You spot what’s most valuable and immediately give weight and impact to it, bringing your ensemble along for that ride in a way that makes sense and lets people in. Learning improv makes you a better listener, collaborator, communicator, and leader, all essential skills you can bring into your brand stories and the structures that maintain them.
